In this, his first novel, David Jerome combines two of his passions: travel and comedy writing into one warm and funny travel adventure. Roastbeef's Promise is loosely based on the author's experiences while visiting the 48 contiguous United States during the mid 1990's.

Prior to this effort, Mr. Jerome had written jokes for Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show," and performed his own comedy monologue on the ABC late night talk show, "Into The Night With Rick Dees." From 1994-1996 he wrote and published a comedy newspaper called, "The Irreverent Times." Under the pen name, James E. Spamm Jr., he authored a collection of humorous fan letters to celebrities in a book called, "I'm A Big Fan."

The author is currently working on a follow-up to Roastbeef's Promise called, Roastbeef Sprinkles.
